Cities around the world are facing complex challenges – from climate impacts and infrastructure pressures to social inequities and rapid growth. To build cities that are inclusive, resilient, and sustainable, we need local leaders equipped with strategic tools, collaborative mindsets, and practical experience. From 31 August – 11 September 2026, Salar International hosts a two week hands-on learning course called Sustainable Urban Development in Stockholm, Sweden, where these challenges will be addressed. The International Training Programme will bridge between global development frameworks and Swedish experiences towards sustainable and transformative urban solutions by referencing the SymbioCity Approach.
The course invites mid- to senior-level professionals from public, private, and academic sectors, including urban planning, architecture, engineering, economics, and social sciences, to join this 2-week training. The training blends peer exchange, site visits, and hands-on learning rooted in Sweden’s proven approaches to integrated, participatory urban planning.
