Local governments are at the heart of democratic trust, public service delivery, and citizen engagement, but today they face challenges from declining trust to complex social and environmental demands. To respond effectively, we need leaders who can drive accountable, inclusive, and evidence-based local governance. From 8 – 13 June, Salar International is organizing a custom-made training course in Stockholm, Sweden regarding this subject. The course builds on Sweden’s long standing traditions of democratic local governance and local development, introducing tested methods and models that could inspire participants and help find solutions to specific challenges in their home country. 

The course invites experienced professionals, practitioners, and decision-makers to join this 1 week training. The training mix practical methods, peer exchange, site visits, and proven approaches rooted in Sweden’s democratic local governance tradition.
