With thanks to Arab Urban Development Institute, SALAR International’s Managing Director, Ryan Knox, was invited to participate in the Asia-Pacific Cities Summit in Dubai in October 2025. A hot topic across the Summit was the use of Artificial Intelligence and other innovations in urban governance. As part of his presentation on Quality of Life in Swedish municipalities, Mr. Knox also shared examples of AI innovations, specifically concerning accountable local public service delivery. Mr. Knox also facilitated a roundtable on City Leadership and Economic Development, and engaged with local government leaders and experts on a wide range of topics, including Swedish smart city approaches

The forum is the largest global gathering of mayors, cities and urban experts.
